Munchkins, the Miniature Shetland Ponies Rescue Charity came to us with a expansive brief: upgrade their existing agricultural barn and design a new barn to house these lovely ponies and store hay.
A transformative retrofit of an agricultural barn tailored for the miniature shetland ponies, creating a improved internal layout, introducing a new staff kitchen area and enhanced storage, veterinary areas and holding stables.
In tandem with this retrofit, we’ve designed a essential new build for the ponies accommodation and hay storage, in keeping with the existing agricultural barn aesthetic. This open plan design allows the ponies to be housed together in a sheltered yet spacious barn away from the harsh elements.
